An enchanting and varied journey of discovery through the Fanes-Sennes-Prags/Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, accompanied by shimmering emerald-green waters, rushing streams and impressive Dolomite scenery.
After a short drive, we reach the charming Ladin mountain village of St. Vigil/San Vigilio di Marebbe, the gateway to the Fanes-Sennes-Prags/Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. Our hike starts at the Nature Park Visitor Centre.
We begin by following part of the fascinating legends trail “Tru dles Liondes” along the rushing “Rio Dal Plan” stream. A short ascent takes us to the gentle “Tres la Val” hiking trail at the entrance to the Val dai Tamersc valley.
Along the almost level “Tru del Ega” water trail, we enjoy the peaceful flow and beautiful colours of the water. We reach the bubbling 40 springs “Les Fontanes” and then the picturesque, emerald-green Lé dla Créda lake at 1,268 m.
A quiet, easy and unmarked “secret” trail below the impressive rocky slopes of Monte Sella de Sennes leads us to Fodara Masaronn and the springs of the “Ega di San Vi”. Here, the striking rock towers known as the “Dudesc Apostui” – the Twelve Apostles welcome us as the impressive guardians of the valley.
From here, we explore the remaining section of the “Tru del Ega” along a pleasant trail until we reach the beautiful “Spiaggietta Ciamaor”, an idyllic recreation area directly beside the water. From here, it is only a short walk back to our starting point.
Tip: At the end of the hike, there is also the opportunity to visit the Nature Park Visitor Centre.

Meeting point: At 8:50 a.m. sharp at Ehrenburg/Casteldarne railway station. Free parking is available. From there, we will travel together in our own cars to the starting point.
Registration: Online or at the Kiens/Chienes Tourist Association by 5:30 p.m. on the day before the hike.
The event must be paid in advance online or in our tourist office. Payment on site at the beginning of the event is not possible.
The registration is only valid after receipt of payment. Unpaid registrations expire after 2 hours and are automatically deleted.
