The charming hamlet of Dietenheim/Teodone, situated on the sunny side of the Bruneck/Brunico basin, is the starting and finishing point of this scenic circular hike. The tour starts at the sports area in Dietenheim/Teodone, just above the South Tyrol Museum of Folk Traditions.
Crossing the Dietenheim/Teodone pastures and following beautiful woodland trails, we hike through a peaceful natural landscape. After a pleasant traverse with magnificent views, we reach the Aufhofener Kofel, an impressive viewpoint on a distinctive rocky outcrop marked by a wooden cross.
After a short descent, the trail climbs gently again along a wooded ridge. We eventually reach the beautiful meadow terrace of Amaten, with its wide-open meadows and scattered traditional farms. Here we are welcomed by the “Tree of Love”, a striking maple tree and special place of energy whose story is closely connected to the Berggasthof Amaten.
At the Tree of Love and on the beautiful terrace of the nearby Berggasthof Amaten, you can enjoy the peace, open landscape and magnificent views of the surrounding mountains in the heart of the Pustertal/Val Pusteria.
The descent initially follows part of the classic, slightly steeper ascent route. We then turn onto a gentler forest road, which leads us comfortably back to the starting point in Dietenheim/Teodone.

What to bring:
Sturdy footwear, appropriate hiking clothing, rain protection and a backpack with enough water and a small snack.
Meeting point:
At 9:15 a.m. sharp at Ehrenburg/Casteldarne railway station. Free parking is available. From there, we will travel together in our own cars to the starting point of the hike.
Alternatively: 9:45 a.m. sharp at the sports field/sports area in Dietenheim/Teodone.

The event must be paid in advance online or in our tourist office. Payment on site at the beginning of the event is not possible.
The registration is only valid after receipt of payment. Unpaid registrations expire after 2 hours and are automatically deleted.
