This pleasant circular hike leads from Ehrenburg via Runggen to Montal and then back to the starting point. The route runs below the Kienberg, through a peaceful and varied landscape of forests, meadows and traditional farms.
From Ehrenburg, the trail initially climbs gently before continuing towards Runggen. Quiet forest and meadow paths then lead on to Montal. Along the way, there are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the Pustertal Valley.
From Montal, the circular route follows an alternative trail back towards Ehrenburg. The hike combines forest tracks, natural paths, meadow trails and some paved side roads.
A pleasant hike away from the busier trails, ideal for discovering the peaceful landscape between Ehrenburg, Runggen and Montal.
