A hike full of nature, local flavours and little discoveries!
The circular hike starts in the village centre of Kiens. From here, follow trail no. 1 towards Mühlen. The route leads out of the village and gradually uphill, alternating between paved sections, gravel tracks and forest paths.
Once you reach Mühlen, continue following the signs westwards. The route runs above the valley floor and leads through a varied landscape of forests and meadows. Most of this section follows forest tracks and natural paths, with some narrower sections along the way.
Continue on trail no. 6 towards St. Sigmund. The trail leads through woodland and meadows before gradually descending towards the village of St. Sigmund.
From St. Sigmund, continue towards Gisse. This section runs mainly along the valley floor on easy paths, quiet side roads and some paved sections. At Gisse, take trail no. 2 and follow it eastwards. The trail eventually leads back to Kiens, where the circular hike ends at the starting point in the village centre.
The route covers a variety of surfaces, including paved roads, gravel and forest tracks, as well as woodland and meadow paths. Some sections may be slippery in wet or rainy conditions. Sturdy hiking shoes with good grip are therefore recommended.
