Snowshoe Hiking in Kiens/Chienes

Long ago, snowshoes were a very useful means of locomotion in the wintertime. They lapsed into oblivion for quite some time, but now the sport is once again all the rage.

With modern equipment, it is possible to hike through valleys covered in deep snow, over broad, snow-covered Alpine pastures and through the fabulously beautiful winter forest.

Snowshoers are not bound to any trails, and because of that, they can discover and experience the fantastic winter world of the Pustertal valley-Val Pusteria even more intensely.
