Pleasant circular hike across the plateau of Hofern/Corti, featuring St. Martin’s Chapel, a panoramic rest area and the spruce column near Mühlen/Molini.

This varied circular hike leads through the peaceful natural and cultural landscape around Hofern/Corti. The village is situated on a sunny plateau above the Pustertal/Val Pusteria and, with its meadows, forests and traditional farms, provides the perfect setting for a leisurely hike away from the crowds.

Starting from the village, the route follows pleasant forest and meadow paths through the varied landscape. Open meadows alternate with shady woodland, while beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the Pustertal/Val Pusteria open up along the way.

One of the cultural highlights of the hike is the idyllic St. Martin’s Chapel. Set slightly away from the main routes, the small chapel blends harmoniously into the peaceful landscape and is a lovely place to stop for a short break before continuing through forests and meadows.

Another highlight is the panoramic rest area above the “Brandholzer” farm. It is well worth taking a little extra time here to enjoy the views and the peaceful natural surroundings.

The route then continues towards Mühlen/Molini, where another special feature awaits: the remarkable spruce column. From here, the circular hike continues through the varied forest and meadow landscape before returning towards Hofern/Corti.

The route mainly follows well-maintained forest tracks, natural paths and meadow trails, with some sections on paved side roads. The pleasant route, peaceful surroundings and various points of interest make this circular hike a wonderful way to discover Hofern/Corti and its surroundings on foot.

An enjoyable hike for anyone looking to combine nature, beautiful views and small cultural highlights.
